Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 12-week day shift assignment in Columbus, GA. You'll work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, performing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures for patients from pediatric to geriatric populations.
Clinical Scope
You'll perform HIDA scans, bone scans, lymphoscintigraphy, gastric emptying studies, brain death evaluations, myocardial perfusion SPECT, I-123 uptake scans, I-131 whole body scans and ablations (under 30 mCi), renal scans with or without Lasix, parathyroid studies, and additional imaging as needed. EKG capability is preferred. You'll also be responsible for IV starts and maintenance.
Requirements
- NMTCB and/or ARRT (NM) certification
- Minimum 2 years experience (first-time travelers considered)
- BLS certification
- Proficiency with PACS systems
Scheduling & Call
- No weekend shifts during regular schedule
- On-call availability: Monday–Friday 4:00 PM–10:00 PM and Saturday–Sunday 8:00 AM–10:00 PM (1–2 days per week and every fourth weekend)
- Scrubs: Black, gray, or purple
- Possible float to nearby facilities for STAT inpatients
- Maximum 7 days RTO per contract; all time off must be finalized at submission
Compliance
Full compliance required prior to start. All onboarding and clinical documentation must be submitted by Tuesday before your first day. Major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) are expected work days based on assignment overlap.
