Medical-Surgical RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical RN for a 13-week night shift assignment (19:00–07:00, 4×12-hour shifts). You'll work in a busy acute care environment managing adult and geriatric patients across a range of medical and surgical diagnoses, including end-of-life and comfort care cases.
Schedule & Expectations
- Night shift: 4×12-hour (7 PM–7 AM)
- Float assignments between units: Yes
- Weekend coverage: 6 shifts in the 6-week period
- No on-call required
- Self-scheduling available
- 48-hour extensions approved
Clinical Scope
You will manage patients requiring:
- Central lines, PICCs, and peripheral IV management
- Tracheostomy and feeding tube care
- Chest tubes and surgical drains
- Blood product administration
- Non-invasive airway management (BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow oxygen)
- Wound care and wound vacs
- Bariatric, neurosurgery, and trauma post-operative care
- Palliative and end-of-life care
Requirements
- Current RN license (compact license accepted; must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- 2 professional references (covering the last 3 years)
Facility Details
Solid navy blue scrubs required for RN staff. Free employee parking available. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, physical therapy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
