MRI Technologist – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a night shift role in a busy diagnostic imaging department. This is a 13-week contract position working four 10-hour nights per week (7:30 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday–Thursday). No call required.
About the Role
You'll perform inpatient and outpatient MRI scans for a diverse patient population, with a strong emphasis on pediatric imaging. Your patient base includes neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and adults, as well as trauma and stroke cases requiring urgent imaging.
Technical Requirements
- Operate GE and systems (1.5T and 3T magnets)
- Perform a broad range of MRI protocols: brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, and specialized studies (CINE, diffusion, perfusion, spectroscopy, MR angiography)
- Post-processing skills including subtraction imaging, maximum intensity projection (MIP), and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) mapping
- Prepare and administer contrast media; establish peripheral IVs as needed
- Work with interdisciplinary teams including IV services, respiratory, radiology interpretation, and rapid response
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years MRI experience
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in MR — required
- Strong pediatric imaging background; traveler experience with Children's Hospital preferred
- BLS certification
- Ability to handle neonatal and pediatric patients with skill and compassion
