Operating Room RN – Surgical Services (Bariatrics, Orthopedics & General Surgery)

Simpsonville, SC | 13-Week Contract | Days 4x10

This OR position supports a busy surgical service line encompassing bariatric, orthopedic, and general surgery cases, with robotic-assisted procedures included in the case mix. The unit serves an adult and geriatric patient population across a self-scheduling environment with four active rooms.

Shift & Schedule

• Call: 4–5 days per month; Monday–Friday call runs 5:00 PM–7:00 AM; weekend and holiday call is 24-hour coverage
• Weekend shifts vary based on unit need

Procedures & Clinical Scope

• Orthopedic: total joint replacement, ACL reconstruction, ankle fusion, open/closed fracture reduction, bunionectomy, metatarsal surgery, arthroscopy, arthrotomy
• Bariatric/General: gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, colon/colorectal resection, appendectomy, colonoscopy, EGD, PEG tube placement
• Robotic and laparoscopic-assisted cases across specialties

Requirements

• Active South Carolina RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience (1 year considered)
• Minimum 1 year of experience with an electronic health record system
• Charge experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted

Additional Details

• Orientation: 20 hours (Monday start)
• Pre-assignment modules required within 48 hours of login; up to 16 hours are reimbursable
• Float to qualified units/campuses may be required based on census
• Travelers must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
