Respiratory Therapist — Travel Contract | Greenville, SC

Shift: Days, 3x12-Hour (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; subject to change as needed

About the Role

This travel Respiratory Therapist position supports a busy adult and geriatric respiratory services department. Candidates must be comfortable managing the full scope of adult respiratory modalities, including critical care, ventilator management, and patient transport.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Extubation, nasal/oral airway placement, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection
• Administration of inhaled medications including albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, Xopenex, tobramycin, and others via aerosol mask, trach setup, MDI, and nebulizer
• Management of high-flow nasal cannula, trach collar oxygen therapy, BiPAP, and CPAP
• Mechanical ventilation weaning and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Floating: Agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed based on census. Floating is limited to areas within your documented competencies.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
• Active RRT license in South Carolina (no pending licenses)
• Required: ACLS, BLS
• High-acuity/critical care experience required
• 1 year of electronic health record experience required
• First-time travelers welcome

Orientation: Mondays; pre-assignment modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials (up to 16 hours are billable)
