Mammography Technologist
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with a patient ratio of 3 per day.
Clinical Scope
You'll perform a full range of mammography procedures including:
- 3-D and diagnostic mammograms
- Screening mammograms
- Stereotactic biopsies
- Fine needle aspirations
- Needle localizations
You'll work with adult and geriatric patients in a busy outpatient imaging setting, seeing approximately 30 patients daily across 2 rooms. Interpretation services are available on-site.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification
- Valid state license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of mammography experience
- Proficiency with 3-D mammography systems
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE
What to Know
- Block scheduling; no weekend or night shifts required
- You may be asked to float to nearby facilities as needed
- Two professional references covering the past year are required
- You must be available to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
