Orthopedic Circulating Nurse
Position Overview
The facility's orthopedic service line seeks an experienced circulating nurse to support a high-volume surgical program. You'll manage care across total joint arthroplasties (hip, knee, shoulder, ankle), fracture repair, and arthroscopic and sports medicine procedures.
Schedule & Requirements
- Shift: Five weekday shifts, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM (early cases may require 5:45 AM arrival)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 25, 2026
- Float duties: Periodic rotation to other services as needed
- Call coverage: Participation in after-hours and weekend department coverage required
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years recent full-time experience as a circulating nurse in a high-volume surgical setting
- Demonstrated proficiency across all orthopedic surgery procedures
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal onboarding
- Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming independent practice (no training required)
Credentials & Licenses
- Current RN license
- BLS/ACLS and PALS certifications
- Standard health screening (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, TB clearance, Fit Test)
- Background check and drug screening
- Driver's license/State ID
