Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for a night shift position in a medical/surgical telemetry unit. This is an 8-week contract beginning January 11, 2027.
Shift Details
- 12-hour night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekends and holidays expected
- Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly
- Float to like units and overflow areas as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Current RN license
- Minimum 2 years of med/surg telemetry experience
- Current AHA BLS certification
- ACLS certification required
- Ability to pass telemetry competency exam
- Documented professional development activities
- Charge Nurse experience preferred
Pre-Assignment Requirements
- Flu vaccination required
- ECG/telemetry and medications competency tests administered via video prior to start (one attempt to pass; 85% minimum score required; test must be completed within 48 hours of offer)
- RTO requests: maximum 3 days; no holiday time off approved
What You'll Do
You'll provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit, monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and collaborate with an interprofessional team. Float assignments and overflow coverage are part of the role.
