Nurse Manager – Emergency & Trauma
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead the Emergency Department. You'll supervise patient care, manage nursing staff, and oversee daily ED operations in partnership with the Director of Patient Care Services. This role requires both leadership acumen and clinical flexibility—you'll be expected to take bedside shifts as needed to support the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Partner with leadership to manage ED operations and quality initiatives
- Mentor and develop a dedicated team of emergency professionals
- Assume direct patient care responsibilities when operationally needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; graduation from an accredited nursing program required
- Current Colorado RN license (or compact state license)
- Leadership experience within the last 2 years, preferably in an emergency or trauma setting
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support clinical teams
Schedule & Location
- Monday–Friday day shift with rotating weekend coverage
- 13-week contract
- Gunnison, CO
- Reliable personal transportation required (limited public transit in the area)
