Cath Lab RN / IR RN — Interventional Cardiology & Radiology

Orange, CA | 4x10 Days | 16-Week Contract

This position supports an active cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology program. The unit runs a daily census of approximately 2 IR cases and 4 Cath Lab cases, serving adult and geriatric populations across a broad range of diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Schedule

• Days, 4x10-hour shifts (06:30–17:00), any day Monday–Friday
• On-call required: 7 days/month — one weekend/month (Friday–Sunday PM) + one weekday/week

Clinical Scope

The role encompasses a wide range of procedures including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), TAVR, EP lab support, carotid and cerebral angiography, embolization, IABP/Impella management, neuro thrombolysis, and vascular interventional cases. Procedural sedation administration and monitoring are core responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of lab experience (Cath Lab or IR)
• IR RNs must have neuro and vascular experience
• Sedation skills required
• Float to nearby sister facilities may be required

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS
• CCI RCES or CCI RCIS
• NIHSS

• Orientation: 20 hours
• Pending licenses not accepted; compact license must be active at submission
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront
