CVOR Surgical Technologist / RN — Cardiovascular Operating Room

Atlanta, GA | Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

This CVOR position supports a busy cardiovascular and thoracic surgical program caring for adult and geriatric patients. The unit manages complex, high-acuity cases across open-heart and vascular surgery.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, 3×12-hour shifts
• Weekend-only scheduling: Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday
• Call: Approximately one weekday call per week; one weekend call every 5–6 weeks
• Float: Within facility and to Main OR as needed per scope of practice

Clinical Scope

Procedures include but are not limited to:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
• Mitral and aortic valve replacement, TAVR
• MAZE procedure, LVAD/RVAD
• Thoracotomy, VATS, lobe resection
• Carotid endarterectomy, carotid angioplasty and stenting
• Abdominal and aortic aneurysm repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, AV fistula repair
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) management

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience; first-time travelers considered
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications
• Georgia RN license or Compact license required at time of submission
• Clinical screening required prior to manager review

Important Notes

• Holiday coverage is expected; this is a holiday-need position — minimize RTO requests
• All RTO must be finalized at time of submission; no changes accepted post-offer
• Full compliance documentation due the Tuesday prior to start date
