Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shift coverage (6 PM–6 AM), 3 days per week with every other weekend rotation. This is a 24-week contract position.
Clinical Setting
You'll provide respiratory care in a critical access hospital setting, supporting patients across the facility's acute care units. Your responsibilities will include ventilator management, airway support, patient assessments, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
Schedule & Expectations
- Night shift: 6 PM–6 AM
- 3 shifts per week
- Every other weekend included
- Quarterly department education sessions are required
Location
Newport, Vermont, located in the Northeast Kingdom near the Canadian border. The area offers access to outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling. Personal transportation is recommended due to limited public transit options.
Requirements
- Current Respiratory Therapist license (Vermont)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS recommended
