Respiratory Therapist – Day Shift
Position Details

About the Role
You'll deliver comprehensive respiratory care across multiple patient populations, from stable floor patients to critical care environments. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment administration, ventilator management, emergency response, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments: interviews, bedside checks, and lung capacity evaluation
- Administer aerosolized medications and chest physiotherapy; maintain airways
- Set up, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilation for ICU and life support patients
- Conduct and interpret blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests
- Respond to emergencies, including intubation and CPR as part of rapid response teams
- Educate patients and families on chronic lung condition management and home medical equipment use
Requirements
- Current Respiratory Therapist license (state-specific)
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Ability to work day shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
