Hospital Pharmacist | Richmond, VA | Evening/Night Shift
This is a 24-week contract opportunity for an experienced Hospital Pharmacist supporting a high-acuity inpatient pharmacy serving complex patient populations, including trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, and ECMO.
Shift & Schedule
- Evening shift: 14:30–03:00
- Additional shift option: 20:30–07:00
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- No floating required
Clinical Scope
Daily responsibilities include IV verification, medication verification, and IV compounding as needed. Pharmacists work closely with clinical teams managing critically ill patients across multiple service lines.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
- Vancomycin AUC dosing
- Aminoglycoside and renal dosing
- Warfarin, enoxaparin, heparin, and DOAC management
- Electrolyte replacement protocols
- IV workflow experience
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Virginia State Pharmacist license required
Work Environment
- The pharmacy team is experienced and tenured, with a collaborative culture and strong clinical resources available at the point of care
- Scrubs required; silver/purple preferred
