Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Mayfield Heights, OH

This 13-week travel contract places you on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit working nights. The unit provides care for a general medical-surgical population requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, with an emphasis on patient safety, rhythm assessment, and collaborative interdisciplinary care.

Shift Details

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)

Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required (no pending certifications accepted)
• Active NIHSS certification required
• No open background case or license hits accepted

Compliance & Onboarding

• ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessment completed during orientation; two attempts allowed to achieve a passing score
• Pre-start modules required (average 6–15 hours); 4 hours are billable
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, or director) from within the past 12 months is required — co-worker references are not accepted
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required; medical/religious exemptions considered

Contract Extensions

Travelers may extend continuously for up to 18 months, after which a 6-month break is typically required.
