Night Shift – Medical-Surgical Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical Telemetry nurse for night shifts. This is a 16-week contract beginning November 1, 2026.
Shift & Schedule
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- 16-week contract duration
Required Qualifications
- Current, active licenses: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year combined permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry or related specialty
- One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) from an assignment within the past 12 months — co-worker references will not be accepted
Compliance & Screening
- Clear background check required (no open cases or license hits)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen + nicotine (cotinine) test within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Nicotine-free requirement applies (Nurses and CSTs are temporarily exempt)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- BCI/FBI prints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
Onboarding
- ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation; two attempts allowed to pass
- Average 6–15 hours of pre-start and annual modules required
- Annual hands-on competency required if continuous or returning in subsequent calendar year
Extension Opportunity
- May extend up to 18 months; a 6-month break follows (may be deferred with client approval)
