LTAC Med/Surg Tele — Travel RN | Nights | Travelers Rest, SC

This 13-week travel assignment is on a Long-Term Acute Care Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex, high-acuity needs. The unit runs a daily census of approximately 15 patients and provides robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend (may vary based on unit needs)
• Floating to other qualified units may be required based on census

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license
• Minimum 1 year of LTAC MS/Tele, Med/Surg, or PCU experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 1 year of electronic health record experience required
• First-time travelers will be considered based on clinical experience
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted

Clinical Skills & Competencies

Candidates should be proficient in telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, anticoagulation and antihypertensive therapy, central and PICC line care, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, mechanical ventilation modes and weaning, arterial line management, IV insulin and vasopressor titration, complex wound care, and stroke scale assessment.

Pre-Assignment Requirements

• Orientation held every Monday
• Pre-assignment testing and compliance modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Module completion (up to 16 hours) is reimbursable
