Med/Surg Telemetry RN – Night Shift
Shift & Schedule
- Night: 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- At least 6 weekend shifts every 6-week period
- Must work 3 out of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
- No scheduling requests accommodated; flexibility required
Contract Details
- Duration: 20 weeks
- Start Dates: October 12 or October 26, 2026
- Location: Los Angeles, CA
Requirements
- License: Active California RN license required at time of submission (no pending or temporary licenses)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years; Med/Surg Telemetry required
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS
- EKG Competency: Pass onsite EKG exam on first day of orientation (one attempt)
- First-Time Travelers: Welcome with minimum 3 years of experience in a large facility
- Flu Vaccination: Required; no exemptions
Unit Overview
You'll work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for adults with medical and surgical diagnoses. This is a float position—you may be assigned to telemetry, neuro stepdown, or progressive care units as needed.
Clinical Skills
Central line and arterial line management, cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation, ventilated patient care, chemotherapy administration, post-cardiac procedure monitoring, blood product administration, chest tube management, and more.
Support Services
IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams.
