Physical Therapist Assistant – Acute Care Inpatient Rehab
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant for its acute care inpatient rehabilitation service. You'll work in a dynamic environment treating adult and geriatric patients across multiple diagnoses, including post-stroke, cardiac, orthopedic, spinal, and trauma cases.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8 hours)
- Weekend Coverage: 3 shifts per 6 weeks (Saturday or Sunday)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 3, 2026
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years acute care experience (hard requirement). Trauma Level II experience highly preferred; first-time travelers accepted if they have acute care and trauma experience and can work independently.
- License: Current California license required (pending license accepted with proof of submission).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Clinical Scope
Unit Environment
- Float assignments to like units as needed.
- Limited orientation provided—you'll be expected to work independently.
- Supportive interdisciplinary team.
Additional Information
- Free parking.
- Scrubs: Royal blue.
- No call required.
- One pre-approved day off per contract period.
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
