Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Shift: Nights | Duration: 13 weeks | Location: Craig, CO

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to join the night shift team. You'll coordinate individualized patient care plans, prioritize assessment and treatment in a fast-paced environment, and work with minimal supervision. This role demands strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to adapt to varying acuity levels.

What You'll Do:

• Assess patients, develop and implement evidence-based care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Perform , treatment, and documentation per departmental guidelines
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care, including discharge planning and referrals
• Address communication barriers related to culture, literacy, and psychosocial needs
• Provide patient and family education tailored to individual circumstances
• Delegate effectively to ancillary staff and mentor new hires or students
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain strict infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards

Required Qualifications:

• Current, active Colorado RN license (or Compact license)
• BLS certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
• ACLS certification (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
• PALS or ENPC certification (or obtain within 1 year of hire)
• TNCC certification (or obtain within 1 year of hire)
• STABLE certification (or obtain within 1 year of hire)
• NRP certification (or obtain within 1 year of hire)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• 2+ years hospital nursing experience
• 1+ year ED or critical care experience
