Ambulatory Care RN – Cardiovascular Procedural Unit | Philadelphia, PA

Days | 13-Week Contract | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

This travel RN opportunity is in an ambulatory cardiovascular procedural area where nurses play a hands-on role in the care of adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. The unit performs exercise and pharmacological stress testing as well as transesophageal echocardiograms with moderate sedation — making prior procedural and sedation experience essential.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare patients for and assist with stress testing and transesophageal echocardiograms
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead ECGs, vital signs, and pulse oximetry
• Perform arrhythmia interpretation and respond to changes in cardiac status
• Conduct patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and post-procedure follow-up
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including pharmacy, radiology, and unit support staff

Schedule & Structure:

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 5x8-hour shifts
• No weekends, no call, no floating
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact license — required at time of submission
• BSN required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 2 years of experience; background in ICU, cath lab, ED, interventional procedures, or stress testing strongly preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Pennsylvania fingerprinting required within one week of signing
