ICU RN – Float Pool

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: November 2, 2026

About the Role

Join the facility's critical care float pool as an ICU RN. You'll provide comprehensive nursing care across multiple high-acuity units, including the ICU, step-down, PACU, and emergency department as needed. This is an ideal role for experienced critical care nurses seeking variety and flexibility.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support
• Manage and monitor ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring systems
• Administer vasoactive and sedation drips per physician orders
• Assess patient condition, escalate changes, and respond to rapid responses and codes
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on plan of care
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols
• Educate patients and families on treatment and care needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1+ year ICU/critical care experience
• Experience with critical care equipment and titratable drips
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• CCRN certification preferred

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Minimal rotation time. Float pool requires flexibility across critical care areas.
