Medical ICU Nurse – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced RN to join the Medical ICU team on a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct care to critically ill medical patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life support.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 12 shifts per 3-week cycle
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Holiday commitments required: must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Clinical Scope

You'll manage high-acuity medical patients including those with sepsis, respiratory failure, and multi-organ dysfunction. Responsibilities include:

• Hemodynamic monitoring and management of arterial/central lines
• Ventilator management and weaning protocols
• Titration of vasoactive and sedation drips
• Rapid response and code interventions
• Patient and family education
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians and intensivists
• Accurate EMR documentation

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• Minimum 1 year MICU or critical care experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CCRN preferred
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• Proficiency with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care equipment
