Night Shift Rehab Nurse
Position Overview
Join the inpatient rehab team on the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), working three 12-hour shifts per week. You'll provide direct care to patients recovering from acute medical and surgical conditions, typically staying 14 days. This is a hands-on role where your clinical skills and teamwork directly improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a team of patients across the shift
- Perform phlebotomy, IV insertions, and manage gastric tube feedings
- Take charge of the unit when assigned, with accountability for team performance
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary staff to support patient recovery goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1.5 years of inpatient rehab or acute care/med-surg experience (within the last 2 years)
- Current BLS certification; CPR required
- Proficiency with the electronic charting system
- Valid state nursing license (must be presented at submission)
- Ability to work rotating weekends (every other weekend)
- Willingness to charge on each shift
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- NIH certification (can be obtained after start)
