Medical-Surgical Nurse – Night Shift

Position Details

The facility is seeking a Medical-Surgical nurse for a night shift position (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Three positions are available.

Unit Overview

You'll join the medical-surgical unit, providing direct patient care to a diverse population with varying acuity levels. The role includes patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, discharge planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and comfort.

Requirements

• Current RN license (Tennessee)
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work night shifts consistently
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred

You'll work in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative nursing team. Night shifts bring a different rhythm—fewer planned procedures and more focus on patient monitoring, comfort measures, and responding to acute changes. You'll be expected to manage your assignment independently while supporting colleagues and escalating concerns appropriately.
