Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Greensburg, PA | 13-Week Contract

This telemetry unit primarily manages adult and geriatric patients on continuous cardiac monitoring, with the possibility of mixed medical overflow. The unit supports a well-rounded interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, and more.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts

• Weekend coverage required
• Float within the facility as needed; willingness to float to a sister facility within 10 miles is expected

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Orientation: 12 hours on-site; approximately 1 hour of pre-start modules required before arriving
• Every other holiday required

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA only)
• ACLS (AHA only)
• NIHSS

Clinical Skills & Competencies

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring (unit and remote)
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Vasoactive and cardiac drip management (no titration); common drips include heparin, amiodarone, Cardizem, nitroglycerin, Bumex, and dopamine (per protocol)
• Central line, PICC, and port care
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and wound/wound vac care
• Post-TPA and post-cardiac cath/angiogram care
• CVA, seizure disorders, substance withdrawal, and renal failure management

Minimum Requirements

• 1 year of telemetry/PCU RN experience required; prior travel experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license required
• Prior charting system experience required; community hospital background preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); COVID-19 vaccine not required
