L&D/OB Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced L&D/OB nurse for a 13-week night shift assignment (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), three 12-hour shifts per week. You'll provide comprehensive care across labor & delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and couplet care, with additional med-surg skills for hysterectomy patients.
Clinical Scope
- Labor management, , and vaginal delivery support
- Antepartum monitoring and high-risk pregnancy care
- Postpartum and newborn couplet care
- Fetal heart rate monitoring and NST/OCT interpretation
- Cesarean section circulation and recovery support
- Hysterectomy patient care and postoperative management
- Newborn assessment, thermoregulation, and Level I nursery support
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years L&D nursing experience
- Current BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
- STABLE certification preferred
- Valid state or compact license
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Two professional references (completed within 2 years, supervisory capacity)
Schedule & Expectations
- 3x12 night shifts (Thursday, Friday, Saturday; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Float within hospital as needed
- Must work a minimum of one holiday during contract
- Bi-weekly orientation (48 hours)
- One pre-approved time off request available
Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions available)
- Valid state/compact license and current Nursys report at submission
