ICU Travel RN — Night Shift | Arlington, VA | 13-Week Contract

This ICU position supports a fast-paced intensive care unit managing high-acuity adult patients. The role requires strong independent assessment skills and comfort with complex, critically ill populations. Float capability to cardiovascular ICU, cardiovascular step-down, and cardiac telemetry units is required on a rotating basis in line with facility policy.

Schedule

• Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Choice of 3x12s or 4x12s (indicate preference at submission; overtime applies after 48 hours/week on the 4x12 schedule)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage expected; time-off requests must be minimal and submitted upfront

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: October 2026 (exact date based on clinical documentation training class placement)

Requirements

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Minimum 1 completed travel assignment
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
• Willingness to float to CVICU, cardiovascular step-down, and cardiac telemetry

Clinical Documentation Training

All travelers must attend a clinical documentation orientation class. Placement is based on recent charting system experience (past 12 months). Up to 7 hours of non-billable orientation modules may be required.

Vaccines

• Flu vaccine required (October 1 – March 31); medical exemptions considered
• COVID-19 vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions considered
