Oncology

Med/Surg Oncology — Travel RN | Night Shift | Jackson, TN

This 13-week travel contract places you on a busy Med/Surg Oncology and Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with oncology/hematology diagnoses alongside general medical-surgical telemetry presentations.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3×12-hour shifts
• Start date: ASAP (Monday orientations); 36-hour orientation
• No block scheduling or special schedule requests accommodated

Patient Care

• Patient assignment: 4–5 patients per shift
• Clinical scope includes telemetry monitoring, chemotherapy administration and monitoring, blood product administration, central and PICC line management, heparin and IV insulin protocols, BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, wound care/wound vac, PCA, and ABG interpretation
• Robust interdisciplinary support: IV team, respiratory therapy, rapid response, pharmacy, physical therapy, phlebotomy, and social services
• Must be willing to float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; travel experience preferred
• Active RN compact or Tennessee license required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS — all must be current and in hand at submission
• Charting system experience required; must be documented on submission profile
• Previous charge experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered); flu vaccination required with no exemptions
• Two supervisory references required at submission
• All requested time off must be disclosed at submission; no additional RTO will be approved after submission
