Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Jackson, TN

13-Week Travel Contract | Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts

This busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit cares for adult and geriatric patients across a wide range of diagnoses and acuity levels. Nurses manage telemetry monitoring, complex medical-surgical cases, and patients requiring close cardiovascular and neurological oversight.

Clinical Scope includes:

• Telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• Central line, PICC, and port access/management
• BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula management
• Blood product administration and heparin protocols
• IV insulin protocols, PCA management
• Tracheostomy and wound care/wound vac
• Pre/post cardiac cath and hemodialysis management
• Seizure disorder, CVA, and TBI care
• Rapid response and code team participation

Schedule & Float:

• 3x12-hour night shifts (18:45–07:15); no on-call required
• Float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units or low-acuity ICU as needed
• Approximately 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Requirements:

• Active Tennessee or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry experience; travel experience preferred
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be current at time of submission
• Electronic health record proficiency within the past 18 months required; must be clearly documented on your profile
• Candidates will complete a charting competency exam — one attempt only
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• All requested time off must be disclosed at submission; no additional RTO will be approved after submission
