Night Shift RN – Medical-Surgical Telemetry

Position Overview

Join the inpatient medical-surgical telemetry unit for a 13-week contract. You'll provide specialized care to a diverse patient population with a focus on stroke and neuro cases, managing adults and geriatrics with multiple comorbidities.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Float Required: You may be assigned to any facility campus as needed.
• Weekend coverage expected; holidays as needed per contract.

Clinical Scope

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring (remote and on-unit)
• IV insertion and maintenance; central and peripheral line care
• PICC line and port access/management
• Blood product administration
• Feeding tube care and management
• Stroke/neuro patient assessment and care
• Wound care and wound vac management
• CVA and nasal cannula delivery
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Isolation precautions and PPE compliance

Requirements

• License: Active RN license in hand at application
• Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• Certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Charting: Proficiency required; EKG exam compliance mandatory (2 attempts allowed)
• Vaccines: COVID-19 and flu required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Background: No open cases
• Other: Valid driver's license; candidates outside 50-mile radius only

Orientation

24 hours provided. Compliance modules (2–4 hours, non-billable) completed during onboarding.
