Neuro/Med-Surg Telemetry RN — Burlington, NC

This inpatient neuro/telemetry unit specializes in the care of stroke and cerebrovascular patients alongside adults and geriatrics presenting with complex, multi-comorbidity diagnoses. The unit provides a collaborative care environment supported by IV teams, rapid response, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and social services.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every-other-weekend and holidays as needed
• Float required — travelers may be assigned to any campus within the health system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Electronic health record experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)
• No local candidates within 50 miles; current driver's license required

Clinical Skills Required

• Telemetry remote monitoring (required); on-unit monitoring (preferred)
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Feeding tube care and management
• Port access and management
• Blood product administration
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care
• CVA management, nasal cannula, wound care/wound vac
• Isolation precautions/PPE

• First-time travelers welcome
• 24-hour orientation; non-billable compliance modules average 2–4 hours
• Time-off requests must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• Third-party education verification required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
