Travel RN – Medical/Surgical Telemetry | Nights | Greensboro, NC

13-Week Contract | 3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend

This Med/Surg Telemetry unit primarily serves an adult and geriatric medical-surgical population, with telemetry monitoring capability required of all RNs. First-time travelers are welcome.

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

• Observation, general medical-surgical, and surgical post-op patients
• Respiratory conditions managed with oxygen therapy (up to 6L NC or face mask; trach collar ≤40%)
• Diabetic patients, including new diagnoses and complication management
• Palliative, end-of-life, and hospice patients
• Psychiatric observation patients
• Hemodynamically stable patients requiring routine assessments every 12 hours
• Accepted IV drips: heparin, antibiotics, and palliative medications

Required Skills & Certifications

• BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts allowed)
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with port access, BiPAP/CPAP, central line care, PICC management, wound care/wound vac, high-flow nasal cannula, and blood product administration
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience required

Schedule & Float

• Night shift, every other weekend; holidays as needed
• Float to other campus locations within the health system may be required

Additional Requirements

• Active RN license must be in hand at submission
• No local candidates within 50 miles
• Requested time off must be submitted with application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
