Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract. You'll provide care to patients on telemetry monitoring, managing a range of medical and surgical diagnoses with a focus on cardiac monitoring and patient safety.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands; the facility will make every effort to honor your preferred schedule
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Start Date: October 23, 2026

Clinical Scope

You may float to other units to care for similar patient populations, expanding your clinical experience across the facility.

Requirements

• License: Active permanent Ohio license or compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
• Experience: Minimum 12 months permanent experience in medical/surgical telemetry
• Certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS — all current and active
• Manager Reference: One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty (from assignments within the past 12 months; co-worker references not accepted)

Orientation & Competencies

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (acceptable score required; maximum 2 attempts)
• Annual hands-on competency modules if contract extends beyond one year

Compliance Notes

• Background check and license verification required (no open cases or license hits)
• BCI/FBI clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
