Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced nursing leader to serve as Associate Director of Nursing. You will provide administrative and clinical leadership for an assigned unit or department, overseeing daily operations, staff performance, and quality metrics while ensuring safe, compliant patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain safe patient coverage
- Monitor unit performance metrics, quality indicators, and regulatory compliance
- Support staff development through evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed
- Serve as a clinical resource and escalation point for complex patient care or staff concerns
- Collaborate with physicians, department leaders, and administration on operational priorities
- Facilitate staff meetings, education, and onboarding
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and accreditation standards
- Participate in budget planning, supply management, and process improvement initiatives
- Address patient and family concerns, escalating as appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
- Active RN license (state or compact license as applicable)
- BLS certification required
- 7 years of clinical nursing experience; 5+ years in a supervisory or charge nurse role
- Strong leadership, staffing, and performance management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
- ACLS certification
