Operating Room RN — Pediatric Surgical Services | Atlanta, GA
Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: Monday–Friday, 8-hour days (combination of 8s and 10s considered; no 12s) | Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
This pediatric surgical facility is seeking an experienced OR RN with charge experience to join a collaborative, high-volume surgical team. Pediatric OR experience is strongly preferred, and candidates must have background in a hospital-based OR setting — office surgery experience does not meet this requirement.
Clinical Scope
The OR team manages a diverse surgical caseload including:
- Neurosurgery
- Orthopedics
- ENT
- General surgery
- Ophthalmology
Scrub capability is preferred but not required.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience
- Charge nurse experience required
- Pediatric OR experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience should be reflected on resume
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Flu vaccination required; no declinations accepted
- Nicotine-free status required (tested with drug screen)
Scheduling Notes
Shifts are Monday through Friday. The facility is open to a mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts; 12-hour shifts are not available for this role.
