Radiology Technologist
Position Overview
The facility's radiology department is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform X-ray examinations and imaging procedures under the guidance of radiologists and licensed independent practitioners. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where clinical judgment, attention to detail, and strong communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic examinations and related imaging procedures
- Plan and manage daily patient scheduling and department workflow
- Document patient care activities in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain adherence to departmental protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
- Communicate clearly with patients, staff, and clinical leaders
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Current ARRT Radiography (R) certification
- Current Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) radiography license
- BLS certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including second shift hours
- Computer proficiency and comfort with electronic health records
