RN – Bone Marrow Transplant/Oncology
Assignment Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
- Schedule: Rotating weekends; no call required
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
The Role
You'll join a specialized BMT/oncology unit delivering high-complexity chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments. Your responsibilities include:
- Administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy with strict safety protocols
- Managing blood product transfusions
- Assisting with cell transplant procedures
- Performing frequent lab draws and monitoring patient response
This is a detail-oriented role on a close-knit team where precision and attention to safety are paramount.
Required Qualifications
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (full 15.25-hour course, not fundamental)
- Active RN license
- Oncology nursing experience
- Comfort with chemotherapy handling and hazardous drug protocols
Preferred Experience
- BMT or CAR-T nursing background
- Transplant unit experience
Unit Culture
Night shift team of 7 RNs, 1 CNS, and 1 PCT. Navy scrubs required. No artificial nails; masks required in patient care areas. A detail-oriented, collaborative team focused on delivering specialized care to transplant and oncology patients.
