Emergency Room RN – 13-Week Contract

Shift & Schedule

7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating weekends | No on-call requirement

About the Role

Join the emergency department at the facility in Austin, TX as a registered nurse. You'll provide direct patient care across a mixed acuity ED environment, including fast-track, behavioral health, and trauma cases. This is a fast-paced setting requiring strong clinical judgment, multitasking, and collaborative teamwork.

Clinical Scope

You'll manage patients across multiple acuity levels, performing or assisting with:

• EKGs and cardiac monitoring
• Splinting and trauma support
• Central line placements and airway support
• Rapid infusion and resuscitation
• Behavioral health de-escalation
• Morgue lens and related procedures

Requirements

• Current RN license (Texas)
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience in emergency or trauma nursing preferred
• Inpatient holding and de-escalation (CPI) experience a plus
• Comfort with electronic health records
