Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Chattanooga, TN

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week | Start Date: October 19, 2026

This Med-Surg unit provides general medical and surgical care in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The unit is staffed with 2–3 technicians per shift, a charge nurse, and clinical coordinator coverage, creating a collaborative structure that allows nurses to focus on quality patient care.

Clinical Scope & Skills Required

• IV starts and lab draws
• Nasogastric tube (NGT) placement
• Wound care and wound vac management
• Cardiac rhythm monitoring and interpretation
• Heparin drip management
• Telemetry monitoring
• Feeding pump, bladder scanner, and glucometer use

Certifications Required

• BLS (required)

Scheduling

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• No guaranteed block scheduling
• Float between two Med-Surg units within the facility
