Med-Surg Travel Nurse | 13-Week Contract | Redding, CA

This Med-Surg unit cares for a mixed medical and post-operative/surgical patient population in an acute care setting. The unit is supported by 24/7 hospitalist coverage, a dedicated IV team, and 24/7 pharmacy services.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend (EOW); 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holidays worked into permanent staff rotation
• First to float

Floating

• May float to telemetry or between Med-Surg floors
• Nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry; a dysrhythmia exam is required prior to floating

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks | Start: October 20, 2026
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Cancellation policy: up to 4 shifts may be canceled over a 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of Med-Surg experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification
• COVID vaccine required
• BSN not required; active RN license required

• Scrub color: Navy
• Charge nurse serves as clinical supervisor (break relief only; no patient assignment)
• Orientation: 1 shift on unit
• Holiday RTO requests considered but cannot be guaranteed
