MedSurg/Tele RN – 12-Hour Nights

Position Overview

Join a surgical telemetry unit caring for post-operative patients across bariatric, orthopedic, and spine specialties, plus general telemetry patients. This is a fast-paced acute care environment where you'll manage high-acuity recovery and monitoring.

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation with core staff
• First to float model
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 91-week contract

Clinical Role

You'll manage telemetry monitoring, read cardiac strips, administer heparin and blood products, and care for patients on BiPap/CPAP support as needed. A hospitalist is in-house, and respiratory therapy and pharmacy are available 24/7. One nurse aide per 14 patients supports your team on nights.

• Charge nurse available (no patient assignment)
• Potential resource RN role

Floating

You may float to other med/surg and telemetry units or rehab within your skill set. Orientation includes one shift with a preceptor.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• No BSN required
