Occupational Therapist – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for an 8-hour day shift position (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM). You'll work across both inpatient and outpatient settings, delivering skilled rehabilitation and therapeutic services to a diverse patient population.
Unit & Clinical Scope
You may be assigned to:
- Inpatient Rehab: Spinal cord injuries, stroke, brain injuries, orthopedic cases
- General Inpatient: Orthopedic, medical, surgical, bariatric, ICU, and cardiac patients
- Sub-acute: Long-term and ventilator-dependent patients
- Outpatient: Orthopedic, sports medicine, neuro, pediatric, and lymphedema program services
Schedule & Requirements
- 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- Every Saturday or Sunday rotation (you'll work one day each weekend)
- Holiday participation per permanent staff rotation
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with swallow studies is preferred (rare specialty certification valued)
Orientation
Three shifts of floor-specific orientation to ensure a smooth transition.
Uniform & Workspace
Polo shirt (provided) with khakis or black pants. You'll work in both inpatient and outpatient clinical environments.
Additional Details
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- Hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts during this 13-week assignment
- Charting via electronic health record system
