Radiology Technologist – Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the radiation oncology department on a 13-week travel assignment. You'll work day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 5 days per week) with start times that may vary slightly based on volume and machine schedule.
Clinical Scope
You'll support a busy oncology program treating adult and geriatric patients, managing approximately 20 patients per machine daily. Your responsibilities will include stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), and conventional radiation planning and delivery. You'll work with advanced imaging modalities including CBCT, kV/mV imaging, and respiratory gating techniques, treating diagnoses such as brain tumors, lymphomas, pancreatic and testicular cancers, and other malignancies.
Requirements
- ARRT(T) certification and valid state license (compact license required at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant radiation oncology or radiology experience
- Proficiency with treatment planning and delivery equipment
- Strong clinical foundation in adult acute care and outpatient oncology
Scheduling & Expectations
- Call coverage: Weekends only (0800–1600, rotated)
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- You may be required to float to nearby sister facilities; refusal may result in assignment termination
- Guaranteed hours over 13 weeks
