ICU / Neuro-ICU Travel RN — Napa, CA

13-Week Contract | Days 3x12 | 07:00–19:00

This high-acuity ICU assignment cares for a complex patient population spanning adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit manages a broad range of critical diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, traumatic brain injury, subdural hematoma, ESRD, and COVID-19.

Clinical Scope

The unit operates across neurological, surgical, medical, and cardiovascular critical care specialties. Procedures and interventions include:

• ICP monitoring and EVD management
• CRRT (Prismaflux)
• CABG post-operative care
• IABP and Impella management
• Hypothermia/cooling protocol
• Post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery care
• CVA/acute stroke management
• Spinal cord injury care
• Chest tube insertion/removal assistance
• Ventilator management

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, social services, and phlebotomy.

Scheduling

• 3x12-hour shifts; start time 0700 or 1900 (variable)
• Self-scheduling
• Weekend coverage required
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Floating to nearby sister facilities may be required; refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (at least 1 year required)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Valid compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the past 3 years
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible at a modified rate
