Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (5×8 hours)
Contract Duration: 12 weeks
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join its diagnostic imaging team. You'll work with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, performing a full range of nuclear medicine procedures in a busy clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform HIDA scans, bone scans, lymphoscintigraphy, gastric emptying studies, and brain death imaging
- Conduct myocardial perfusion SPECT and other cardiac studies
- Perform I-123 uptake scans and I-131 whole-body scans and ablations (≤30 mCi)
- Execute renal scans with or without Lasix challenge and parathyroid imaging
- Maintain IV access and provide direct patient care
- Operate PACS and electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years nuclear medicine technologist experience (first-time travelers welcome)
- Current NMTCB and/or ARRT (NM) certification
- BLS certification
- Proficiency with PACS
Schedule & Call
- Day shift only: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- On-call: 1–2 days per week (Monday–Friday 4:00–10:00 PM; Saturday–Sunday 8:00 AM–10:00 PM)
- Every fourth weekend call required
- Potential float to another facility for STAT inpatient procedures
- No weekend shifts except call coverage
Additional Details
- Scrubs: Black, gray, or purple
- Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
- Full compliance required prior to start; delays may push start date back 2 weeks
- Holiday work required per facility guidelines
