Cardiovascular/Thoracic OR Technician
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Cardiovascular/Thoracic OR Technician for a 15-week assignment. This is a fast-paced surgical environment managing high-acuity cardiothoracic cases, including coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), aortic aneurysm repairs, valve replacements, robotic thoracic procedures, and transplant cases.
Schedule & Location
- Shift: Day, 3×12-hour (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Location: Atlanta, GA
- Float Required: Within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed
- Call/Weekend: Subject to departmental needs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years OR technician experience (first-time travelers accepted)
- License: GA or Compact license required at submission
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Preferred: Trauma Level I or II experience; community hospital background
Key Clinical Skills
Experience with aortic repairs, CABG, TAVR, VATS, endovascular procedures, robotic cardiac surgery, bronchoscopy, case cart management, instrument processing, and scope handling.
Important Notes
- All RTO (request time off) must be finalized at submission—no requests post-offer or onsite
- Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
- Holiday work expected based on assignment overlap
- Full compliance required by contract start; delays result in 2-week postponement
- Orientation hours vary by contract length (non-billable)
