Cardiac Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Wilmington, NC

This is a fast-paced cardiac telemetry unit managing adult patients with complex cardiac diagnoses. First-time travelers are welcome.

Contract Details

• Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour (18:45–07:15)
• Contract duration: 13 weeks (longer contracts considered through February 2026)
• Start date: November 2, 2026
• Scrubs: Navy

Clinical Scope

The unit cares for adult patients presenting with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and pre/post cardiac catheterization. Core responsibilities include:

• Managing and titrating cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, Diltiazem)
• Sheath pulls, TR Band, and Femstop management
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of dysrhythmia-related events
• Central line and peripheral line care
• Blood product administration
• Participation in rapid response and code teams

Scheduling Expectations

• Float required as needed; frequency varies by unit need
• 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Staff may be assigned to a Storm/Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events or mass casualty incidents

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown experience
• Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• North Carolina or Compact license required (pending licensure accepted for submission)
• Manager interview required prior to offer finalization
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Important: Call-off policies are strictly enforced. RTO requests after signing are not permitted. No RTO during the first week of the contract.
