Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift

Position Overview

You'll provide direct patient care to adults with varied medical-surgical diagnoses, supported by a strong interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response services.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 18:30–07:00
• Options: 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour per week (36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 schedules available)
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Float required
• Contract duration: 13 weeks

Patient Care & Clinical Scope

• Focus areas: Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, post-operative and critical care recovery, renal failure, ABG interpretation, central line care, chest tube management, high-flow oxygen delivery, PICC line management, IV access and blood draws, wound care, and feeding tube management
• Additional responsibility: Active participation in nursing student clinical education and support

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience
• AHA BLS certification (required before start)
• Relias EKG test: Must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance (two attempts allowed; failure results in cancellation)
• Must reside 100+ miles from the facility

Orientation

• Begins Sundays with online CBLs
• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation included
• General modules (4–5 hours, nonbillable) completed during orientation

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Hospital may cancel up to one shift biweekly without penalty due to census fluctuations
