Cardiac Telemetry RN — Independence, Missouri

This 13-week contract (with potential for extension) places you on a busy 7th-floor Cardiac Telemetry unit, working 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

Clinical Scope

The unit manages high-acuity cardiac patients including post-cath recovery (no sheath removal), pacemaker placement patients, stroke patients, and those requiring vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drip management (amiodarone, Cardizem). Continuous telemetry monitoring is central to daily practice.

Ideal Candidate

• Fast-paced, team-oriented RN who thrives in a high-energy cardiac environment
• Strong cardiac assessment and rhythm interpretation skills
• NIH certification preferred

Required Certifications

• ACLS (required)
• Active RN license

Schedule & Expectations

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period (Saturday & Sunday for days)
• Float to other telemetry departments, med-surg, or PCU as needed
